The role
On behalf of our US healthcare client, Inernet is hiring HEDIS Abstractors / Reviewers. In this role you will review medical records against HEDIS quality measures, accurately abstracting the data the client needs for quality reporting.
This is a role for people with a clinical or medical-records background. If you have worked in nursing, EHR/EMR systems, clinical documentation, medical transcription or a hospital setting, this work will feel familiar. You will be briefed on the specific measures the client reports on.
It is a part-time, remote role, which suits nurses and clinical professionals who want flexible, work-from-home hours around other commitments.
What you'll do
- Review medical records (EHR/EMR) against defined HEDIS quality measures
- Abstract and record the required clinical data accurately
- Flag records that need a second look or are missing information
- Keep to confidentiality and data-handling standards at all times
- Work through assigned batches on a flexible, part-time schedule
What we're looking for
- A clinical or medical-records background: nursing, EHR/EMR, clinical documentation, medical transcription or hospital experience
- Comfortable reading medical records and working carefully with detail
- Clear written English and reliable, private internet at home
- Able to keep confidential information secure
- HEDIS experience is a plus; you will be briefed on the client's measure set
